This seminar provides in-depth coverage of Wind Design. The seminar will cover wind loads on the building frame (lateral wall and lateral & uplift of roofs), cladding and component design, and roof mounted equipment (including solar panels). The wind design methodology and calculations as recommended by ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads and Other Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures will be covered. A segment of the seminar will cover resistances to wind loads by describing how to achieve adequate resistance with connectors and fasteners. One segment will cover inspections and the current requirements from the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association....
