Chuck Anastos, AIA appointed to the Texas
Board of Architectural Examiners
As previously reported, Governor Rick
Perry recently appointed Alfred Vidaurri, Jr., AIA,
to lead the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE)
as Chair. Shortly thereafter, Governor Perry also appointed
two new Board members as well.
Chuck Anastos, AIA of Corpus Christi
will take over for outgoing member (and former Chair)
Gordon Landreth, and Brandon Pinson of Midland will
replace public member Janet Parnell of Canadian.

Texas Society of Architects awards Honorary
Memberships- Trey McCampbell and Lauraine Miller
 Texas
Society of Architects Honorary Membership is bestowed
upon those individuals for long-term association with
architects and architecture in providing a better quality
of life in Texas. This person must be of esteemed character
who has rendered the profession of architecture significant
and valuable service within the territory of the Texas
Society of Architects and has conspicuously upheld its
aims, but who is not eligible for Architect or Member
Emeritus membership.John G. Flowers Award for Excellence
in the Promotion of Architecture in the Media - South
Texas Public Broadcasting The Texas Society of Architects
Award for Excellence in the Promotion of Architecture
through the Media in Honor of John G. Flowers, Hon.
AIA is awarded to one individual or organization for
the excellence in the promotion of architecture through
the media. It is awarded in memory of TSA’s first executive

2005 featured the LWA designed Gillett Intermediate
